What is Kanji?

With more than 50,000 Kanji characters, they can be classified as Pictographic, Indicative, and Compound characters. It usually takes 4 to six weeks to learn Kanji in a proper Japanese learning school. To pass at least the N5 level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), a student must know about 100 Kanji.
